Every time a Christian tells me his testimony, I began to dig deep for answers and ask him to give more details

After that, the testimony is usually nothing like what he originally said

It ends up being nothing like a miracle

Why do you ask? Maybe we can work through your angst a bit. Send me a message if you like.

Maybe because your definition of testimony is wrong. A testimony is a personal experience. It doesn't have to be a miracle. For instance, this week I had a large bill come due and I prayed for the money to come in so I could pay it. The day my bill was due, the money came in.
That's not a miracle but it is a personal experience.
Do you have any questions about, I would be glad to answer them for you.

That is because you are looking for small differences so that you can disclaim their testimony because if their testimony was true, you would have to surrender your life over to the Lordship of Jesus and you don't want to do that because you don't want to give up your sin. It's that simple. Instead of seeking other people's truth, why dont you seek God and His righteousness and He will then manifest Himself unto you.

people are just people period.you seem to be looking for flaws. anyway interrogation often fluster people and when they are trying to express the same thing in a different way so that you can understand, it may not come out the same as the first way.

LOL you answered your self

if you ask for details that in itself changes the question, the question originally is simple...but asking for more detail changes the question and therefore changes the answer.
