Well im in western Australia, and as far as i can see, there doesnt seem to be much of a law left, or being enforced. We see on the tv, and read in the papers about these teenage partys that get out of hand, and the police are called and they may arrest any one who becomes violent or breaks the law,but they dont charge all the underage drinkers for drinking. Also we have the schoolies that go on there leavers celebration spree--those kids have just finished year 12 and are only mostly 17.They are not targeted unless they get out of hand.As a matter of fact the police send extra police to the towns they are having their parties, to protect them from sexual predators. The law still says 18 is the legal age to drink alcohol in the pubs but i dont think it is a serious issue in the courts.
