A girl in my grade had her sweet 16 tonight. Quite a few people were fairly drunk and before we all left we would go up to her and say thanks for having us come see you monday. I thought i was acting crazy so when i left i said sorry for acting crazy i am a little drunk. Is that the right thing to do or is it a pansy thing to do?

On the contrary, only real men know when they need to apologize and really do it. If you really think you misbehaved, apologize! She will think higher of you for it!

Actually what you did was just the opposite of being a sissy, it was a class at, showed that you not only had class, but you also had manners, something really needed in the real world! Congratulations, and keep on trucking, you will go far in life! Because you are are leader and not a follower! Too many people are afraid to take the initiative, but in life you have to make a move, right of wrong, you definitely made the right one!

It is completely acceptible to apologize to a woman if you are doing so in attempt of getting into her pants. Otherwise, you should blame the alcohol.

Apologizing is not a "pansy" thing to do but actually takes more courage to do than to not apologize. But without really knowing what you were apologizing for I'm sticking to the thought that you were drunk and it's not really a true apology.

Apologizing is one of the most giving things one can do. But the apology has to be complete -- without "I didn't know" "I didn't think I did anything wrong" or anything like that. Just make the apology simple with no more than five sentences. Smile, touch the arm and back away. Say "I hope you forgive me" and then let it go. Smile and congratulate yourself because you did a great thing! Everyone should try it once because it's great and you know you're not perfect!

Other than the fact you were drunk at 16, you did the right thing by apologizing

It's not sissy at all. If anything it shows you are considerate. A credit to your Jedi nature. May the Force Be With You....

.it sounds like you did the right thing.... you may have gotten a little out of control and i am sure she appreciates you taking responsibility for your own actions. Doesn't sound pansy at all to me.

That was absolutely the right thing to do! If you know you were wrong in any situation, it's always the right thing to do....and people respect the person who does the right thing! If anyone tells you different...they are a coward !!

I think that apologizing when you are actually sorry for something is never the wrong thing to do. However, I would make it a point to apologize to her when you are sober.
