im currently a high school senior and my school's homecoming dance is in two months. ive never really had a date for anything and i'm beginning to think that there's something wrong with me. i mean, i wouldnt call myself drop-dead gorgeous or anything, but a lot of people comment on how pretty i am. i hope i dont sound vain but im not bad-looking. i'm nice, easy-going, and friendly, so i dont understand how i can never get a date for anything. and the thing is, there are a couple of guys at school who always look at me and try to act loud and cool when i'm around, but they never ask or do anything! i just feel sad that while most girls will probably have dates, ill be stuck at home on prom night. i could always consider the option of going to prom or homecoming stag...ill just hang out with my friends. but chances are, boys will most likely ask them and ill just be another extra wheel. answers would be appreciate :)

If you have any male friends I would suggest you just mention it to them to go. Or just watch the movie "whatever it takes" with one of them and perhaps he'll get the hint.

maybe guys are intimidated by you in a good way! Like i know some guys who won't approach a girl b/c that girl is a higher standard for them to reach! and like the other guy said, guys are scared of rejection just as much as you are. Soo.... it wouldn't hurt if you made conversation wit them but A REAL man will approach you if he's that interested but there is no need to doubt yourself or think somethin is wrong wit you! besides, if you know your all that and bag of chips then you have nothin to worry about b/c the right guy will come for you in no time!

1. ask yourself this question. Do u put yourself out there and talk to a lot of guys and make conversation?
2. do u have friends who are guys?
3. are they all gay??
if so then you need to talk to more guys and make them feel comfortable and make friends with them so then maybe there could be an option for romance. good luck!

You can ask a guy out.If the dance is coming up and no date ask someone. Maybe a guy who never dates himself. Some guys can be sweet and shy.

well the thing is they are shy and they probably think you will reject them. im afraid to ask girls to dances because rejection sucks and im picky with who i choose to go with. (thats a bad thing.) talk to those two guys more and flirt with them.

same thing happened to my siste most popular girl in school and pretty darn hot i might add she didnt get asked either but she found out it wasnt because they didnt like her it wsa because they were affraid to ask because they thought she'd say no she ended up going with the next door neighbor your best bet it to find one you might not mind going with who isnt going with someone else and ask him to go with you.
