Actually Japanese had not thought the emperor was a descendant of God even before WW2.
Ppl called the emperor as "a God who is a human being" or "a living God".

They are totally different from the "descendant". And It is different from the Muhammed in Moslem as well.

Today ppl don't think like that.

Not anymore. Especially after finding out that the rumor was created in order to keep the blood "pure" . Particularly ironic considering the genesis of the "Japanese" race.
