I'd probably be blunt. I don't intend on proposing, I'm gonna let that be they guy's job because it's more fun that way.
If he turned out to be a wimp and never got around to proposing I'd probably just say, "Let's get married. My mom's starting to despair of ever having grandkids."
Or
"Dam****it Hamlet, My biological clock is ticking and I want babies NOW!"
