so i went to the apple website to download itunes. during install it says it cannot locate the old version of quicktime to uninstall. i actually tried installing old versions of quicktime to see if it'd fix it but nothing doing. is there a way to fix this or trick itunes into thinking i never had quicktime.

the problem is quicktime won't let me delete it, it says it's mssing a file. and i dont even want to touch the folder its in. but i cant get the new itunes until the old version of quicktime is deleted

Completely delete both files. Then reinstall iTunes 7.0, and download quicktime 7.1.3. Then install both of them, and it will work. Install iTunes first.

I ditched iTunes for this reason. You have to take them both.
