we have republicans selling war, islam haters logitions and only very little spiritual growth and truth seekers taking part

Haha I have given up for now...I used to be good but it seems that if you give a good answer the fanatic picks the fanatic, the Athiest picks the Athiest....silly but now I just laugh and say "screw it!" OK except for this answer...

Spiritual growth questions take rather more mindpower then political kneejerking. I usually stay out of the politics and religion sections on weekends, they go to heck then. You'll get better stuff in early evenings on weekdays.
("heck" cuz I'm from Utah).

If the religious would keep their views out of the political spectrum (eg. trying to create laws and put religion in schools and government) then the forum would be solely one of theoretic religion.
Or have you forgotten the maxim about living in glass houses...?

I'm here and ready for intellectual correspondence on Christianity, church history, the Bible, contemporary issues, or whatever, if we can only choose to completely ignore the obvious trolls and flamers.

Most of the time it's a "bible thumpers" session. People think their religion is the only one and they get on here trying to convert everyone or bash people based upon their religion or sexual orientation.
