in Virginia if I bought a car and wanted to sell it to somebody else within a couple of days how do I go about it I mean registration insurance. I'm trying to avoid putting my name on it for taxes and paying tags registration etc..

You need a dealer's license to do that. Without a dealer's license, you need to title and register the vehicle before you can sell it.

Give the buyer the title, a federal approved odometer disclosure form (if under 10 years old), a bill of sale, and tell them to have a nice day. Oh you still need to complete a release of liability to protect yourself.

See if the person you are buying it from wont put sign the title into your name...
