mAYBE THEY think its not normal cause so many teens these days r hooking up, and in theyre day they did the same, but my mom said she didnt have a boyfriend in high school, so youll just have to wait when the time is right.

Tell them "*YOU* are the reason I haven't had a girlfriend yet." They are the ones making you uncomfortable about dating, so put the onus on them to shut up. It happens when it happens.
Some people don't start dating until their 20s. It may be rare, but it's not weird. Look on the bright side: You don't have any STDs or teen pregnancies to be blamed for. (Would you rather have an unplanned pregnancy to deal with at age 12 or age 22?)

When I was a young man, I didn't have a girl friend.
I started to work in the theater and most of my amigos were gay or
I'd date girls, but if I wasn't serious I'd not tell my family.
So, when I finally got a girlfriend that I thought should meet my folks ... they were so relieved. And -- I -- had -- no -- clue ! They thought I must be gay.

you know my best friend goes through the same problem, they even try to say its because she is in love with me......honestly I think its because what they think is normal is for you to show interest in girls and they fear you dont and never will....dont stresss itttt...............
