So when I am finished how do I put them in alphabetical order , I am using microsoft words, do anyone have any other ideas, it is really just a list of words about 500 of them. It is easier to type and then press a button to put them in order. Please help

Highlight the list. Go to TABLES --> Sort. It will have the option selected to sort the Paragraph text in ascending order.
(You can convert it into a table as someone else said, but this is an unnecessary step If the words are in a list one to a line, the sort works without bothering to create a table.)

You highlight the list, go to tools I think. There will be an option sort, it's A-Z. If you can't find it, click help and type in alphabetical. It will show you where to find the button to sort.

Put them in a table, word will alphabetize them when you are done.

do not use microsoft word for this, use excel
it makes it very easy to alphabetize things.
