I speak from experience - xanax is extremely addictive. If you choose to suddenly stop taking them on your own you could have a seizure. I suggest you taper off if you can (with help from your doctor) but if, like me, you can't successfully taper, then a few days in detox is the way to go. It's not that bad. The reward is freedom.

i would think that you would probably pass out if you took 4 or more xanax. xanax is a highly addicting drug. if the person wants to stop taking them they could probably do without in house treatment. good luck..

side effects? you will be calm, tired, addicted and pissing off the person who prescribed it - then what do you do when you run out too soon. you withdraw which is something like heroin withdrawal from what i hear. xananx is the valium of the 80's. i would suggest seeing the doctor and getting taken off slowly. the biggest thing will be coming to terms with the fact that you do not in reality need it when you really feel you do. good luck!

This large of a dose may cause an overdose, especially because of his age (but more because of his weight). Overdose symptoms include confusion, coma, diminished reflexes, and drowsiness. He needs treatment from a professional.

Depends on how many milligrams are in each pill. If they are only 0.25mg, probably nothing except sleepiness. If they are 1mg pills, they will not be able to stay awake and will sleep for a long long time, maybe even depressed respirations.

Having taken xanax for medical reasons I can tell you what it did to me.
dulled emotions, lethargic, depression, drowsiness,... I never felt worse, emotionally, in my life.
