Depends: despite all the hearts around your avatar, you may be like me and just don't want a 16th bash or you might want the fuss without any bother about food and music on your part. For the former, take it from the others and don't turn up but make sure you run away to your fave hide-out so your mum doesn't hav 2 worry when shes looking 4 u and also gets the signal. For the latter, just go for it..can't be a big deal, one day in your life?

Please act surprised & pretend you never knew about it... Your mom would be crushed & devastated if she knows that you already knew about it... How come your friend told you about your mom's plan? She shouldn't have told you about it... That's why it is called a surprise... Duhh!!! Now it is not a surprise anymore... Seems like your friend needs to learn on how to keep a secret... Your mom told your friend about her plan because she trusted your friend coz she thought your friend can keep a secret...
Take this as a lesson... Next time don't tell your friend any secrets at all coz she has a BIG mouth... She is a person who just can't keep her mouth shut, who cannot keep something to herself, who wants to ruin other people's birthday party, who cannot be trusted... I hate this kindda people... If I were you I'd be mad at her... What kindda friend is she? Is she your bestfriend? Sigh~ Take my word honey... Don't trust her with any secret after this...

Wow, what a lousy friend! The best thing you can do, to save the feelings of everyone else, is act like you know nothing about it nd act totally surprised when it happens.
All the people who work to make it happen will feel really bad if the work goes for nothing.

Act surprised. You don't want to hurt your Mom's feelings after she went to all that trouble. Enjoy your party.

Act surprised anyway. You don't want to hurt your mom's feelings. That was a crummy thing for your friend to do.
