I am reading some interesting comments about this prophet guy, even comparing him to depictions of God. Read your own history, muslims. That guy was a con-man of the first order, and spread his little cult with the sword. Fascinating that some of you tell us to "read". I'd suggest you do a little reading of your own, as in real history, not what your local temple or whatever tells you. We Christians have to deal with the reality of the crusades, to mention only one ugly chapter in our history. What makes you immune to history?

Well drawing someone with a sucide bombing outfit and labeling it to a religion is not exactly respectful is it?
I am a muslim and i do not think that was very respectful. But i dont think the muslim world should have reacted with death threats either. You sound like a loser spending your time on the net just to spread your words of hate.
Just cos one group of fanatics are evil, does not mean all in that catagory are the same. IRA is a christian terrorist organisation that bombed London unlike any in history, but do we say chrsitians are all evil? NO. so there you go.

Islamic custom prohibits any picture of Mohammed. In the U.S. Supreme Court there is a mural depicting the great law-givers of history, one of whom is Mohammed. At least one muslim wrote to protest the depiction of Mohammed, even to honor him, as this is contrary to Islam. A government representative replied that the mural could not be changed, and meant to honor rather than dishonor Mohammed. The muslim let it go at that, saying that he had done his duty in protesting the image; it was not his duty to force others to comply with his ideas.

I don't think anything's wrong with it. We're supposed to have the freedom to express ourselves here. If it was printed up in the Middle East that's a whole different story but it wasn't. If they don't like it then don't look at it. To go and bomb places and create riots and burn flags and threaten attacks over a cartoon is as idiotic as their religion. Any religion that teaches to convert to Islam or die is wrong in my opinion. As far as offending them with a cartoon or a Popes speech, well they offend me when they burn my flag and bomb our buildings, and they've never apologized to us.

It's because of the early religions and how they followed idolism. Therefore Islam wasn't permitted to make caricatures of their leaders or anyone

"let any man who worship muhammed-pbuh know he was a messenger and messengers have died before him, but he who worships Allah know that Allah is All-- Eternal and He never dies."
he isnt a saviour for muslims -- he is a prophet or messenger of God who came to give us God's word. we dont worship him -- hope u know that by now.
why no pics of Muhammed-pbuh allowed?
Exodus 20:4-6 records the Second Commandment. Here is God’s explicit directive: “YOU SHALL NOT MAKE UNTO YOU ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.”
Initially there were pictures and paintings of muhammed-pbuh but when Allah ordered muhammed-pbuh, since then paintings, idols and any image is forbidden in Islam. actually when an artist tries capturing the human or any life form in art, and presents it for the whole world to see, then we appreciate the image, rather than the true beauty of God the painting or sculpture was inspired from.
is it not wrong to worship a false image when u consider him God.? christians agree that the image of Jesus-pbuh was an interpretation of an artist, but yet again beleive that it was how jesus-pbuh looked like.
let me make one thing very clear to u. LOVE FOR GOD does or his prophets does not come from the images, crosses and tasbis in our hands and necks. theLOVE FOR GOD SHOULD BE IN UR HEART FOREVER. thats important and thats what counts.

They may be entertaining to you, but how you are so sure about their being 'true'? If we say that it is funny how Christians get so P.O.'d over matters touching their belief? Mind your own business please.

It is considered a great insult to the Islam religion to have images of their prophet. Respect that.
