Buddy is allergic to Eggs but nothing else. We wanted to put him on a dog food that had meats as the main ingredients and not corn or Meal products. Please advise.

Your food that you choose should be just like ours. You are able to see what ingredients are in the food. Also when you change there food make sure you change it slowly like the first week mix 25% of the new food to his old food and then the next week mix it 50/50 then 75% new and 25% the old and then just the new. If you just change one, they may not eat it but most impportantly the sudden change of one diet to another can cause their tummy to become upset and possibly causing diarrhea. Do it slowly.

Natural Balance is not the highest quality dog food, but it's most definitely not the worst. I would recommend it, and would even consider feeding it. There are other brands that I would recommend such as Canidae, Innova, Timberwolf Organics, Merrick, Flint River Ranch, Life's Abundance, Orijen, etc. Those are all high quality. It sounds like you may know a little about dog food since you chose one that is good for your dog. As Amanda K said, there have been a few recalls on that food, so you may want to check the most recent recall list, but if your dog does well on it, it's fine to keep him on it.

I give our dogs venison & rice formula by Nature's Recipe. It seems to agree with them & it does not contain any corn or by products, artificial ingredients, or preservatives, no added chemicals. My one dog's allergies have subsided. I'm glad your taking an interest in your pets diet; I am an animal lover & I stay away from the commercial foods, & am going holistic, my dogs are too.

Evangers, Wellness and Solid Gold are all very good dog foods taht use human grade ingredients. The one you are talking about seems to be fairly good too. Evangers dog food is also Kosher. they also have canned food tha tis nothing but meat! NO other ingredients. But keep in mind you can't feed a dog just meat.

All the above named food have dry and canned.

I applaud you for looking for nutritiuo food for your pet!!!

That is one of the better foods. I don't know about the sodium content though.
