Have you ever made one of rachel ray's 30 minute meals ?If so what was the dish and was it good? Just wondering if I should waste my time on a dish I saw her make on Oprah the other day(vodka cream pasta) Thanks

I made that vodka cream pasta last night for supper--first time I had been in a liquor store for at least 10 years. I needed 1 cup of vodka so I got the cheap kind (11.00) 375ml as I wasn't sure if I was making 1 batch or 2. I made it with fettuccine noodles instead of the kind that was on the recipe. It was good but 1 batch is plenty-probably feeds 8 adults. It is fairly easy to make but you need to cook the onions, garlic, and tomato stuff in a large pot rather than a frying pan. My hubby would probably like it. I will probably make it again. It tastes much better if you have warm garlic bread with it.

I made the asperigus and shallots today.....RAVE!!!!

I really like RR and I have made many of her dishes. More importantly I have taken the 30 minute concept into my brain!

1) use fresh ingredients.
2) chop veggies small so they cook quick
3) use good cuts of meat so they can cook quick and not be tough!
4) use strong fresh flavors.

A Few of my favorites:
Chicken & blood oranges
Skirt Steak & Shallots
Fried Napa Cabbage

I haven't had a failure yet! And, If I am not talking up a storm like she does...most meals only take 20 minutes to prep and cook....LoL!

I love rachel ray! I've made lots of her 30 minute meals. I have all
of her cookbooks. I really like lemon pepper chicken tenders.
It is in her book " get togethers "

Yes, I made her Meatloaf Muffins. Rather thana big hunk of meatloaf, she put them into muffin tins so they baked quicker. Very tasty. Sorta a BBQ flavor.

I'd make nearly anything by Rachael Ray before I'd make anything Sandra Lee (Semi-Homemade Cooking) does. (Sandra Lee's Lasagna is outstanding, but the rest? no thanks!)

She has alot of good recipes that have been helpful being a single mom of 3 toddlers. And my kids appear to like it too.

She has great recipes but I have never tried any because I think many of them takes more than 30 minutes.

I made one. It was the rice crispy sushi rolls. It's on her show today also. I thought it was fun and my daughter loved them. We made them for a Halloween treat last year.
