Well, I'm sure everyone has a different answer.

My answer: Yes

Reason: My culture. Many people that are Pacific Islanders (Guam, Philippine Islands, Hawaii, etc) consider it to be a staple.

Ask people who fought in WWII, they would not have survived hunger w/o it! :-)

I ate some Spam years, decades ago. I didn't like it then, and have had an aversion to it ever since, but, maybe if I had known how to cook better, or at all, I could've made it tasty, but, . . ., I don't eat Spam now. I'm not sure how healthy it is for you, but, back then, I was too poor while in college, so I didn't care about health factors, and neither did our culture, so I just ate it. God Bless you.

SPAM is made from real meat. Shoulder, Picnic and hAM (SPAM), plus spices.

Check out the SPAM website, it's filled with great facts and information.

Even the WORD spam gives me the shivers. I grew up on the stuff, it was so cheap in the 60's and my mother cooked it all the time. Fried spam, spam-loaf, spam-croquettes, in eggs, spam sandwiches, spam burgers, I got so sick of it I really couldn't eat it now if I was starving. yuck

Yes it is Pressed minced ham. Hence the name spam. But I wouldn't even feed it to my worst enemy! Well maybe Osama Bin Laden after they catch him.
