i really want to get "over" this guy. i've said to myself that i'd stop liking him, but it's seriously not working at all. i'm basically always thinking about him. [i've never dated him] i talk to him all the time though, so it's not easy to just forget about him. he IM's me at least once a day....and if i block him he'll probably just message me on myspace or ask my friends where i've been. i know it might seem like he likes me just from THIS, but i know he does.
the basic question is HOW DO I GET OVER HIM.
p.s. i can't stop communication, he'd ask people why i stop talking to him...

Here's what I did and it really worked.
Write a hate letter to him. Email wise(this especially works if you are miles away at college somewhere). Tell him about all the bad things he did to you that made you mess up or slip up. Looks like he can't let you go either. Did you tell him you need space? That's probably what you need to do. If he gets too overbearing you can always request a restraining order(extreme).
But yeah I wrote a hate letter to this guy and deleted my email account and never heard from him again(you don't know him of course.)

You CAN stop communication! Who cares if he'll ask people why you stopped talking to him, that's what you want to happen! That'll actually make it a whole lot easier on you but if you've never dated him and have no connection with him other than a friend, I don't understand why you want to get "over" him. Phone calls, IMs, all that needs to stop if you want to get this guy off your mind. Talking to him everyday will always refresh your memory of him. Keep yourself busy and get off MySpace once in a while and enjoy life! That's the best advice I can give you!

this is just about mind set, the more you want toforget semething but some where some how it came back. what i did is. you will relax yourself the more you think about soemthing else like your friends birthday is near what should i plan for her party or present then is will help you distract from thinking that guy , im sure it will help. i was having problem sleep, i keepon telling myself 'sleep~!sleep~! ' but it deson work so i change other way, i listen to music and slowly the mind begin to relax i fall asleep less than 15 minutes~! relax your mind or planning fir something else it will help. or ...... you can maybe give him or you a chance (just kidding .)

Why do you want to get over him? It sounds like he likes you and you like him? So what is the problem? If you truly want to "get over" someone......the only thing that works is TIME. Eventually each of you move on and time heals the wounds.
