I would say Italian. There's a lot more to get than just spaghetti and lasagna. They have seafood and steaks. Most places have a wine list and that is classy. Also, look out for the lighting. You want a low-lit place and a nice secluded table. DO NOT get spaghetti on a first date, especially a blind date! If there's not any luck there, make a picnic dinner. A lot of women like that and it says that you are charming and not afraid to be intimate. On the beach or by a lake would be ideal.

If speaking of aesthetics-i am one of those people who eat with eyes- and-of course never forgetting- taste, i think french is good.
