The night before the dreadful Tsunami, i heard a very clear voice telling me to "watch the news in the morning. You need to watch the news." The next day i did and the awful news of Tsunami was unveiling.
Was this God?
I wasnt drunk and havent had "voices" since so i know i am not mad.
I donated my Xmas overtime money to the cause because of this.

It may have been an angel of God, but why does that trouble you? God has often spoken in dreams through his angels. Whether He did or not, you gave help to those who needed aid, which is following in God's way.

It sounds very much like you heard from God. I haven't ever heard an audible voice, but I know I have had distinct impressions about things at, even dangerous things.
Once when this happened, I started to pray for the safety of whomever was in danger. Little did I know that at the very moment, it was my own dear husband who was in a perilous situation. An ex-employee had shot and killed his supervisor when my husband unknowingly walked into the room. When he saw what had happened, he turned around to quickly leave the room and fell on a freshly waxed floor. He said he knew the man would be over him with the gun when he looked up and he was. At that moment, a scripture went through his mind, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you." (Isaiah 43:2) The man told him to get up and leave. Then he shot himself, the place caught on fire, and was inundated with water from the sprinkler system.
I have never forgotten this and try to be ready to pray whenever I sense I should do so, no matter where I am or what I may be doing. It can be very important.

No. Even assuming there is an all-powerful being fitting your image of "god"... what would be the point? I mean, if he/she is going to literally talk to someone, wouldn't have made more sense to talk to the people about to be killed by the tsunami and tell them to RUN!!!!!! Or to tell the leaders of the country? Or SOMEONE who really needed to know?
Nope. I think it was a coincidence or a dream. You aren't crazy. Just connected to the universe (based on your donation), which is sweet.

No tsunamis happen often and this one in Mexico has been going on for awhile. You probably heard about it and subconsciously logged it. Also it is common this time of year for tsunamis. Its like someone saying watch the news about a shooting. Its nearly a 100% chance someone got shot and is on the news.

wow....what does the voice say about me getting a promotion in the near future? I could really use the extra money....I will even give a cut of 30% to the voice if it can work it out for me!

It could have been. God works in mysterious ways. I have never head him but one time I fell out of a tree when I was 12, as I fell my mom yelled OH MY GOD!! it was about 25 foot drop, and i did not even feel my body hit the ground and I felt perfectly fine.

it depends. was it audible or more of an internal voice? there is a test. ask if the voice believes that Jesus is Lord and Savior, and tell it to identify itself. if you get some crazy response, i'd seek counseling. talk to a pastor or other trusted spiritual advisor for further guidance. Good for you for wanting to help the disadvantaged.

Yes God Speaks not with physical voice but in your heart he will put desires like you feel you need to do sumthin into your heart but thing is watch out satan does that to. but its easy to differciant God from satan it could of been a Angel to

I think so, b/c my aunt just had a "vision" about my missing great uncle & she keeps seeing his big-rig & the hood & the underside of that...we are wondering if he is caught under there b/c in her "vision" he was wearing the clothes he was last seen in...he lives in oklahoma (i'm in GA) & we are waiting 2 hear frm his family out there if he's in his truck motor...but she keeps seeing these things & they couldn't b a coincidence...& my nana saw sum1 speak in tongues & they didn't know how it happened...God works in mysterious ways, yes, He was speaking 2 u...i think...PRAY!
