Some call it the generation gap, because it is hereditary, just look at some of your relatives. If your gap is alittle heavy in the gum area, braces won't help. Ask your Dentist about having a half crown of sorts to fil in the gap, this also will help with helping you have a great smile because alot of times the teeth are much smaller. Adding the half crowns will bring them into proportion and usually after cementing them in they should place a layer of acrylic resin filling on the entire facial (front) area of the teeth, this helps hide and seal any seam where the tooth and crown meet, matching teeth and color should make it look like your own teeth.
Some insurance's might even pay for a portion especially if decay is present also this way or something similar might be less expensive and less traumatic on your mouth than braces. Hope this helps, it did my husband, I use to be able to place my pinky inbetween his gap, had this done over 20yrs ago and still looks great!

I also have a gap in my teeth. It's between my two front ones. When I was younger it was big, but with time it has come together some. If you really want to fix it I would say braces would be the best way to go. I used to hate mine, but I've become used to it. Hey, Madonna has a gap between her teeth! It isn't that bad of a thing really.

The dentist can put something in between the teeth. I don't know if you remember Lauren Hutton, a model in the 70'-80'. She had a huge gap and then it disappeared, now that she's old it's back again. I guess now she doesn't care, therefore it seems you can take the insert out to clean it. But dentistry has changed so much, just ask a dentist.

First of all don`t feel bad about yourself. Most singers have gaps between their teeth and don`t Even think of fixing it. But if you are not a good singer then you could see an orthodontist and you`ll probably end up using braces and a retainer. At the end you`ll be able to smile without fear.

You can have bonding done to fill in the space between your front teeth. Basicially, they put filling material to fill in that space and no one will know that it was done (except the people that see you everyday will notice but at least it would be filled in). It can cost around $300-$500 without any dental insurance. Talk to your dentist and see if you are a candidate for it. Good luck!!
Here's a link that show's you a picture of someone that's had this done.
