I met my boyfriend 4 months ago. He has been divorced for over 2 years and has been living with his best friend who has been divorced for just about a year and a half. My boyfriend's best friend HATES me! And I can't figure it out. I travel for a living so I'm hardly over there, I let my bf call me so I don't infringe on guy time, and I have better morals and values than the first woman he was married to. So will somoene please shead some light on why the best friend hates me and what in the world I can do to get into the good graces?

Sometimes guys just don't like our friend's girlfriends. It can be for many diffeent reasons.

- He thinks you are going to steal his friend away.

- He is jealous that his friend has a girlfriend and he doesn't.

- He has or had feelings for you and hates that he can't be with you.

- Something you do or something about you annoys him.

- He is just a jerk.

Take your pick.

Well, obviously he's jealous. I doubt you can get into his good graces. He got used to having your boyfriend's exclusive time and friendship (or maybe he's gay and has a crush) and is one of those weird insecure people who don't want their friends to be close to anyone else.

You'd better let your boyfriend in on this, but don't be snarky towards the roomie. Your boyfriend might not know what's going on. If he does and doesn't stand up for you to the room mate, you should maybe think about how important this guy is to you.

Your boyfriend and his friend have both been divorced and live together - your bf has probably been his only companion for a long time and now he has to share him with you! He's probably used to doing everything with your bf, but now your bf is devoting much more time to you. I think he would be jealous, no matter who your bf was with - I don't think it's anything personal to you.

Have you and your bf tried to include him in your plans? Also, I think if his friend dated and found a girlfriend too, things would be much better.

He doesn't know you. He probably is just very sceptical about women right now. Don't take it personal. Hang out more with him- invite him along....maybe he will open up more to you once he knows that you are not like the other two (his wife and your boyfriend's wife).

Forget trying to getting his good graces. he could be jealous that your guy found someone or he could just be upset that you are taking your guy from him. Either way, you can't make him like you.
