I had one a year and a half ago, and I regret it. I wish more than anything that I could go back a re-do that whole day. I know I never can. I was in a bad relationship and didn't even have a job. I was scared and confused and felt like it was a quick fix so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. Now, I think about it everyday. I just got done balling for 2 hours.
My boyfriend left me soon after the abortion. It's been a tough year and a half. Hindsight is 20/20 and looking back, I could have done it. I will never have another abortion no matter what. I've prayed to God everyday to forgive me. I'm scared and sad. I'm going to talk to a counseler or somebody soon hopefully.
I don't think it was the right decision for me, but other women are glad they went through with their abortion. To theirs, their own. I would do anything to get my baby back. It has traumatically and dramatically affected my life and my relationships. I have really bad depression that I've not gotten help for also. I've been repressing the feelings and sadness from the abortion this whole time because my boyfriend thought I was "crazy" for being angry, confused, lonely, etc. because of it.
So I stopped my crying and shutup and didn't talk about it. I can't talk to my parents about it because they're very religious, and I don't have anymore friends. (My relationships with everybody have been ruined). My ex bf hates me due to the anger and pressure after the abortion. So I am alone. I cried to my puppy right now and talked to him for a little. I prayed to Jesus also. I hope things get better soon.

I personally don't think I could ever have an abortion, but I haven't walked in the shoes of some of those that have.I think in cases of rape or where the child or mother is in danger then it should be their choice for sure, there may be other circumstances where it is acceptable. I just personally don't feel that it is my place to judge others for the decisions they make. However it really makes me mad when irrisponsible loose women use abortion as a form of birth control repeatedly. I also dont feel the government should be allowed to tell a women what to do with her body.

It is a decision that most women regret making. At the time it seems, even feels right, but in the long run it hurts and there is alot of pain and sorrow. And for all those who say its a woman's choice, that is a bold and horrible statement to make. First, it should (even though I do not agree with the decision) be both parent's choice. What about this senerio, the father wants to keep the child, I know plenty of single fathers who love and honor their children, outside of what their mother might think.
Secondly, why is it legal for a woman to take a life inside her ie abortion, but if a man murders (or kills, car accident ect...) a pregnant woman he is charged with two murders. Why is there a double standard? By the way this did happen three years ago in California

I am prochoice. I say to each his own. I personally couldnt do it but just because thats my way doesnt mean it is what will work for someone else. I think maybe its better for someone to abort then to bring a baby they dont want into this world. What I do think is wrong is women who have repeated abortions. If you dont want kids get fixed and if u someday do but not now use birth control it may not always be effective but its more effective then using nothing.

I believe that abortion is a choice. I remember a story that my seventh grade health teacher told about her college roommate that died from an illegal botched abortion. I have no idea why she would tell seventh graders such a story. But, it made a definite mark how I felt about abortion and this happened over 20 years ago.

I don't agree with it. I think that to many people use it as birth control. There are other ways of preventing pregnancy. I don't care what the circumstances are I would never do it. If it was because having the baby would endanger my life..well then I have lived my life and then it would be my child's. If I was raped I wouldn't do it either because that child is still half mine..I just don't see a good reason. I know people that have done it and regretted it. I also think that if you are old enough and think you are responsible enough to be having sex then you are old enough to have the responsibility of being a good parent...if your not keep it in your pants!

The question should not be whether abortion is right or wrong, but rather if the fetus/baby is a life. If it is a life, abortion is unquestionably wrong, if it's not a life then abortion is the mother's choice. Answer that and you'll know the answer to the abortion question.
Just for the record, I feel the baby is a life.

I had an abortion once when younger. I did not want to but went through it because the father of the baby was threatening me physically.
I regret it badly.
Now I cannot have anymore children. (not because of the abortion but due to problems with having kids)
I have 4 wonderful kids but wish I had more.
Abortion is awful.
You kill part of yourself.
Nothing is ever the same after one.

I'm pro choice...meaning I am for the woman making choices concerning HER life and HER body. I don't want it used as a form of birth control but I am totally against forced pregnancy as well. There are many health issues with pregnancy, a diabetic would be risking her life as well as the life of the unborn fetus if she gestated a full term pregnancy. Then of course there is the chances of her getting diabetes during the pregnancy making it a high risk pregnancy. If she had children at home they could become potentially motherless if she gestated to term. Not all births are vagnially, C-Section births have their own hazards as well as much longer recovery time than a vaginal birth. That is why it is very important for young people to think a very long time before jumping into a sexual relationship. If the pregnancy is that of a very young teen gestating to term could consquently end her ability to ever have children again as her body is not yet ready for a full term pregnancy and the possiblities of her needed a hysterectomy in her early teens is frightenly possible.

I think abortion is a womens choice. If there was no abortion clinics we would have an over whelming population of unwanted, neglected children, sad yet true. There are many reasons for someone to justify or condem an abortion , but until they have walked in those shoes they r not to judge is my opinion. There are children born everyday to crack addicted, unfit parents, If these women had it accesible to them we would not have half the problems now with foster care, medical care for these poor children.
Some women are not ready to be parents because of other reasons. Financial, mental, pysical, and yes there is such thing as an unplanned pregnancy.
