It must mean you are getting old like me !
I'm just kidding of course , my knees started doing that when I was very young , I think it has something to do with the joints grtting stiff . I don't think it is anything to worry about . I am still going & going & going !

I have the same problem, the doctor told me that it's no different than cracking your knuckles. If you've had a knee injury or experience pain when you kneel then that's another story.

Generally speaking this cracking noise is called crepitation. See the link below for a brief explanation.
In itself it doesn't equate to a great deal to be concerned about, though it could indicate arthritis. You really need to speak with your doctor about this.

try to see the doctor or research plus you maybe having a cracking noise by your back or something like that, just try to exercise and drink milk everyday or maybe if you have an enemy he or she maybe playing a trick on you or maybe it's just the ground or floor.

It Always happens to me when I bend my knees. There is nothing wrong and nothing to worry about. It just cracks for people and not for others.

It's called crepitus.
And it means that you have either bone on bone, or some sort of malailgnment of your patella on your femur.
What does it mean? If no pain = do nothing.
If pain = go to an ortho to get evaluated.

I'm 40 years old and my kness have done that for many many years. Never asked a Dr. cause it didn't hurt, and really didn't think about it, I thought it was just normal.

it is the movement of air pockets at the joints, like cracking of the knuckles. usually harmless.
what r u doing on your knees?
