ok first of all DO NOT TAKE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS WITHOUT A DOCTORS CONSENT!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!! my mom had some depression earlier in her life and took them. now, shes better, but she still has to take the meds cause if you dont, it takes a toll on ur heart. (literally)
second, you may have clinical depression, or you could just be FEELING depressed. if u wish to find this out on ur own b4 u see someone about it, heres a few tips.
ask yourself, ''do i enjoy the things i used to?'' if u still do, the depressed part is probably just stress or something in that range. if u dont, it is most likely clinical depression which could either run in ur family, be cause by loneliness or self doubt, OR, it could be a chemical inbalance.
i had depression and i got out of it by being with my friends and family more often and enjoying them. maybe that will work 4 u. if not, plz tell someone close to u and i'm sure they'll in anyway possible.
no worries:( be happy:)

You are right... this is not normal.
First off.. if you are having suicidal thoughts, if you have a plan of action in mind, go straight to a hospital emergency center or call 911 now. Depression is a very dangerous condition.
If you are not yet of legal age to concent to treatment without a parent or gardian, but you feel you are in immediate danger... don't ask... go anyhow.
I don't know what your financial ability for access to health care is, but it is certainly time to get a professional opinion and probably intervention, so don't let that stand in your way. If you cannot afford to pay for treatment, it will be provided free of charge in most cases - paid for by the state - so don't hesitate - get moving on this before it gets you down more than you already are.
Finally... the professionals have their sh~t together when it comes down to recognizing and treating depression. You can be assured that they'll have you back to feeling better as quickly as possible... and then you can get on with your life.
Good luck

There are several things you can do. I recommend seeing a doctor and starting on a mild antidepressant. You can also try exercising and be sure you are eating a healthy diet. Unfortunately many of us suffer from depression but the good news is most of us can be treated with a antidepressant and live a normal happy life.
good luck to you.

Yah, you might have a chemical inbalance. Your best option is to talk to someone you are confortable with (and yes, a shrink might be it) for a diagnosis and then they would recommend the best treatment for you. Lots of times they put you on something short term and also put you thru therapy. I know it worked a lot for me. That saddness does not have to control your life, you have the power to get the help to feel better. Good luck!

If you can't find a reason for your depression, it may very well be a chemical imbalance. You definitely need to seek professional help (especially since that is the only legal way to get the meds you need!).

I suggest you keep your mind on your goals, and your plans. Think about all the good things life has to offer you. You might want to talk to a mental health therapist. He or she might prescribe some anti-depressant medication for you.

You may not be consciously thinking about things but the mind is always trying to work things out. Talk to a Dr. now and see how he/she can help you.
