this is a serious question. throughout my life, i've lost faith and then encountered strangers that drew me back into a relationship with God. I know he still loves me, but i find it hard to trust that there's a place in heaven for me....

You don't have to wonder if you are saved. The Bible says anyone who truly repents of their sin (have you ever lied? stolen? taken God's name in vain? dishonored your parents?) and places his/her faith in Jesus will be saved. That person is sealed by the Holy Spirit, but you must understand salvation is found in no other name.

We are all born with a sin nature, and fornication is as much a sin for straight people as for gay people. You know what's right and wrong, and if you care for the Lord you will choose right. He will give you his grace to overcome all sin, not just fornication. I'll pray for you... I'm so glad you recognize the value of your soul. God certainly does: He would rather die than live without you, as they say. Bless you.

P.S. Down below this answer, someone calling himself "The Pastor" says "God does not love queers." That person is NOT a Christian, and is NOT going to heaven unless he/she repents. That is not biblical, and I hope and believe you and other readers know that.

I don't agree with lemmonlimelover: Sin WILL keep you from God. He's right that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ, and not by works, but a desire to sin and refusal to stop reveals an unrepentant heart, and repentance is supremely necessary for salvation. Fornication is a sin, whether straight or gay.

Being a gay woman is an abomination unto the God. So you are living a sinful life. God still loves you as He loves all His children.

God the Father would like for you to turn away from this sinful lifestyle, accept His Son Jesus Christ His Saviour, repent and trust in the Word.

As for the rapture, that's a trick of the devil. Ignore false doctrines and only live for God.

The rapture doctrine was started in 1830 by Margaret McDonald while possessed by a demon.

Heaven is where God is. If you have accepted Jesus Christ in your heart, then God is there.><>

Being homosexual will not keep you out of heaven. The only thing that will keep you out of heaven is rejecting God.

For a good read on this topic that will encourage and help you with this is:

"Sexual Identity: A guide to living in the time between the times" by Mark Yarhouse - it's about this very thing that you are struggling with. It's a great Book.

Umm... Im not a gay basher or anything, and I dont want you to think that I am tryna say anything from my own mind or anything but this is EXACTLY what the bible says..... in 1 Corinthians 6 :9-11 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

So its not that you cant get into heaven, but you have to repent and stop being a homosexual...

Aw! An answer I will exell at, sweetie, celebate no more, because the rapture does not exist.
The original idea of the rapture was not originally in the bible, but was added to the bible in 1830 by a British evangelical preacher by the name of John Nelson.
So no need to worry about your immortal soul, because also the original idea for hell was not originally in the bible as well!
Smile, there is no Hell

I know how serious this question is . I was along time ago before turning to Christ as my lord and saviour an active lesbian. God does love every person as if they were the only person in the world. we do mean the world to him. buuuut. Jesus does say that " if you love me you will obey my commands" And a very strong command that Jesus puts forth is not to is not to have sexual encounters with the same sex. Do u think that you finding it hard to believe that there is a place in heaven for you is because the Holy Spirit is searing you conscience saying you are disobeying God with being attracted to the same sex. If your celebate because you know its immoral to be intimate with woman and women is the only sex your attracted to well, you could be doing the right thing, buuut, i would really be praying to God that he will change your attraction to Men and then you still can be celibate. Do you really know the meaning of Celibacy. its not just to deny yourself sex or intimicy. its also to give yourself whoolllly to the Lord and for the coming of his kingdom and to further his kingdom. I'm going to say a prayer for you right know. You don't have to close your eyes because then you wouldnt be able to read it. LOL. no seriously.

Dearest Father, i pray for this young woman who does love you and i ask of you Lord who is great in Mercy and Forgivness that you allow her to stand firm in you Lord that she may also have a fruitful relationship with you. Draw her close to you and draw close to her. Lord i ask that you bring her a real and true happiness that derives from you Holy Spirit and any bondages that are attacthed to her Lord i ask that you cut the cords and throw them down to the pits of hell. Lord may you work through her, refine her and do what needs to be done so she may be more Christ like and intimitate you. Have a place in your Kingdom for her Father. May she be in the book of life. Lord show her any blinds spots in her heart and life and shine your light on those spots. Thankyou Lord. BLess her Lord with the knowlegde of your truth. AMEN>SO BE IT. :) i hope thats of help. you'll be in my thoughts. take care.

Waste your life any way you want to. As a follower of the Tao, I do not need faith, I have experience. I do not need to save my soul, it is as it should be. It is true that in times of crisis most revert to their earliest religous training, so whatever floats your boat.

Personally I have a very good relationship with God who does not require me to be celebate to save my soul, I precieve God in all people, all nature.

This rapture you speak of, why do you think it is near?
What have you learned today?

Ever wonder how some christians backed the movement for slaves in the name of god? or how they backed the movement against interracial marriages using bible versus? Well, this is a link to biblical research with a comprehensive breakdown of what the bible actually says about homosexuality.

So you admit that you have a soul and are worried about your lifestyle affecting your chances of making it to heaven?
Who do you think made your soul and will receive it in the end.God that's who and will take you back as a prodigal child into his body from which you came before the beginning of the physical universe.
