If you like him before he becomes your cousin's stepbrother, then it should be ok. Even though the whole family won't like it, it'd be weird for both of you to act intimately around them. My best advice is not to date him, and the feelings will go away eventually.

You sound like my little sisters friend, ironic that her name is Jessica too. If hes a stepbrother by "marriage" and "paperwork" only I would say yes. But I doubt the state will let you get married due to being related. But thats just my opnion!

Unless,of course, that strange relationship makes you your cousin's, uncle's father's daughter. Then you might be blood related. But you can still date him.
