I'm getting a cute little black cat tomorrow and she needs a name. Any ideas?

You could try naming after some favorite movie or book characters, or look up names in a babyname website like
http://www.babynamesworld.com/. That one has country of origin and meaning of the name. I didnt name my cat for about a week until I was
more familiar with the cat and it's personality. Sometimes the names you like don't really go well with a particular pet once you know them, so you need to have several different ones to choose from, to pick one that seems to fit it better. I have had two black cats (so far) and the first one I named Onyx. The word is derived from words meaning "nail" and "black stone", so I thought it appropriate since she was an outside cat and a huntress. The second was male and built thick and stocky so I named him Max (maximum) also after Mad Max (Road Warrior movie).

I love the name Valentine and Shadow for a black cat. My kittens names are Rocket and Zoe. Do a web serch and type in cat names. I did it and a lot of sites came up. Too many to list. But you know sometimes you should get to know your cats personality before naming it. It might help you choose the perfect name.

I have a black female named Inky. I don't think she really care what I call her anway. Kitty treats is the only language she responds to, other than a neck rub. LOL
