Think about this. The powerful proud Marines are getting beat by a bunch of rag tag men with basic weapons. How can this be? I hope they get to talk to a Vietnam era Marine so they can find out how to handle the shame.

I am really sad to think that you are so bitter. If you really served in the military I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If not, you're the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen.

The Marines do not deserve to cry in shame. The vast majority believe in what they are doing. I live on a post that houses all the branches of the military. And very close to a marine base in addition. Unless you're on the ground there, or actually ask someone that's been there (and more than one person) I think you'll find my point to be true.

Why be ashamed? They have done nothing shameful or wrong. My question to you is: "Should people like you be ashamed of being Anti-American? You claim the title of anti-war but you are living in a country of rebels and warriors. I'm guessing that would make you a ......... what? Sheep? I'm currently serving in Afghanistan and I'm not ashamed of anything I've done of seen done by any American forces or Nato forces for that matter. Imagine if the Army had went into old Chicago and started rooting out the Mafia. Its almost the exact same thing. Taliban, Al-Queda, insurgents are nothing different than the bullies, thugs, murders, kidnappers, extorsionist and all around bad guys that ruled over the citizens of Old Chicago. And the G-Men are here in the form of Marines, Soldiers, Airman. Heck we even have Seamen here in Afghanistan. Trying to help a people who don't have the means to help themselves. Again like the average American in Chicago.

You really have no grasp on the complexities of the situation. A guerrilla force has a significant advantage over a conventional force when fighting a protracted war. This advantage isn't measured in quality of arms, quality of training, or numbers of soldiers. Look at the French Resistance vs the German military. American revolutionaries vs British army. Many of the various conflicts in South America.
When you have returned to reality, then we can talk.

Firstly, this war (no matter what liberal cowards or conservative hotheads say) is FAR from over...
Secondly, It isnt just Yanks at stake in Iraq. The Iraqi citizens who get carbombed and gunned everyday and the Iraqis who fight against them filthy terrorists will be crying too if the terrorists win...
And last but not least, what do you know about fighting a real war, asides from ducking and hiding???

How dare you criticize our troops! I dont see your *** out there! My dad is a retired marine that fought in the Korean war. Many men died for their country, they didnt question why they were there, they had a job to do and they did it! My 24 year old son is in the army airborne division and he is being deployed next year to fight for his country because thats what he signed up to do. Unless you have experience in matters such as war you should shut the hell up and go back to your video games - asswipe.

The Marines have to obey rules and laws, the "rag heads" don't. The only time that a Marine should hang his head in shame is when he lowers himself to their level, or misses when shooting at a liberal.

Marines are tough so I think they can handle it. Do you even know what their basic training is like? They work their butts off for it and are risking their lives for you. I think I know what is the matter. You are just jealous that you don't have the guts to do what they do everyday.

The US Marines and US Army have been place in an untenable situation due to the incompetence of the civilian leadership. They are in the middle of a civil war. They have nothing to be ashamed of, it's the people responsible for screwing up the aftermath of the war that should be ashamed -- Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bremer, Rice etc.
