Whenever I serve the ball underhand, it goes onto the net. How can I get it over the net? Toss the ball, then hit? Before, I mastered the underhand serve, but now I can't do it anymore! Help please!! I'm trying out for the Volleyball team and its 2 days away! What can I do?

You are probably holding the ball too far in front of you. Remember, you need a backswing, contact, and follow through.
Envision a golf swing. The ball is on a tee (your holding hand). The golf club (your swinging hand/arm) is swung back, the club contacts the ball, and the club swings forward on a follow through. Many times, servers forget the backswing or hold the ball too far in front of them...both cause the ball to go into or under the net.

Sorry to say, but underhand serves are not the best way to go! You can't control where it goes. For an underhand serve to go over the net is luck! So here is how to master an overhand serve.
1. Make a high toss
2. Take a step forward
3. Hit the ball in front of you not behind you, and hit it with the bone at the bottom of your hand
4. Follow through and keep balanced on your feet while serving

I know this isn't probably what you want to here, but overhand sereves are the only serves to do to make sure the ball goes wjere you want it to go.

well you should keep on practicing and work on hitting the ball with the heel of your hand, not your fingers...but if i were you i would be nervous about making the team because you cant overhand serve, on most teams that is the way they serve!

Depends on what grade you're in, if your in high school don't bother trying out if you can't serve overhand.

Just keep practicing and see where you are most consistent at hitting it

maybe you're serving too low. u might not be extending your arm fully when you're contacting the ball. make sure that happens.
good luck.
