I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over a month and things have been going good in our relationship, but for some reason everytime I visit him at work, he barely talks to me and he acts really standoffish. He tells me that I should come in and see him, because he would like to see me, but when I come in he acts really weird and kinda like he doesnt really wanna see me. He Sometimes he acts like he doesn't even know me and I don't understand why that is. I'm not sure if he gets intimidated by me or what it is, but I am very baffled by this. Then, when he gets off work he will call me and act like nothing was ever weird or like he doesn't even notice himself being that way. Why do you think that is?

Also, his co-workers know me very well, because I actually used to work with my boyfriend before we started dating. A couple weeks ago, my BF got in trouble for sitting down with me and talking, so maybe that has something to do with it? But, I just don't understand why he won't really even talk to me. He works at a restaraunt so he and I will stop in and eat quite often and he acts totally fine around me then, it's just only when he's working. Help me out!

Maybe his boss has been saying that he is spending to much time talking to you...you are probably a distraction to him. A restaurant is a busy place, and if his co workers are also distracted..then the manager has an even bigger problem..."It's that chick of yours, dude, nothing is getting done with her here. Can't you handle that girl on your own?" is what his boss might be saying...don't take it personal, just don't visit him at work so often and I think you'll be fine. I mean seriously if he worked in the ER or in surgery would you pop in and say hi and expect him to drop everything? Have a little respect.

In my honest opinion, I think he asks you to come see him because he wants to be nice. The truth is, he doesn't really want you to come and see him at the workplace. It's a "rhetorical offer". That's the best way to explain it. He wants you to know that you can come and see him anytime, but he may want his space and he isn't sure how to ask for it without hurting your feelings. I wouldn't look at it as a bad thing. It sounds like your man cares for you a lot and he is aware of your feelings. Space is a good thing and we all need it sometimes. I would suggest fewer visits at the workplace and a phone call before you do visit. I hope this helps!!!

think of it this way...he said he wanted you to stop by so he could SEE you, not TALK to you. You might be getting him into trouble, but he doesn't want you to know. (guys never admit to a girl when they get in trouble for something) if he misses you then seeing you fixes that weather he actually talks to you or not. or maybe he thinks you're really hot and just likes looking at you...whatever the case i wouldn't stress over it. go to his work so he can look at you, then talk after he gets off work.

There is a time for work and a time for play. I'm pretty sure his boss don't like it when you come around and stop him from working. You also said yourself when y'all stop by when he's not working there is no problem. Solution: Wait till he is off the clock (his lunch break or something), to visit him.

I would say he is either being a little shy, trying to impress his friends, or just busy......
Next time just tell him you would rather not bug him at work because he acts different. He may not even realize he is acting different....
I would say nothing to worry about

It's that fear to mix love and work. Things are probably fine so don't worry. He just doesn't want to get caught again. Why don't you stick to seeing him after work? Probably the best thing to do.

Even I act like that at work sometimes. I bet he's just too preoccupied w work to say anything. Don't worry about it.

A lot depends on his work environment. Maybe he is not supposed to have visitors at work. Maybe he is distracted by the things at work and cannot concentrate on you. Maybe he has another girlfreiend there.

I don't think it has anything to do with you. But you should stop going to visit when he's working. His manager has probably said something to him about your visits.
