Peace and freedom from religion of course, but to make the transition from man to computer. Religion is all about mans desire to have life everlasting. Most wars have been about religion. When man has achieved the transition form flesh and blood to computer, we will live forever. In 1975 IBM and four other big computer tried to develop a computer that could be taught like a child. They failed, but the challenge is still out there. We can only remember 10% of what we know ... a computer could know everything. It will happen one day! Until then, the best thing we can do is improve reading skills.

I've seen the current research and it looks like we'll be able to - even in the next 100 years or so to expand our lifespans considerably (replacement body parts, protection mechanisms, stopping the aging mechanism, etc.). That said, even if we were to expand our lifespans to be essentially immortal, there still is a dependence on the universe itself -- when it collapses, we still would die. Therefore, I'd like to see humanity somehow progress to the point where the entire direction/goal of the race is to have an enlightenment experience. I know this is off track to what you might be seeking but it makes the most sense to me.

The most fantastic thing would be for everyone to realize that when your actions are to help the most people possible in any given situation, your own happiness will become greater. Forget about advancing your own dogma at the expense of everyone else, just live for the best possible world for all.
Everything else will fall into place.

Well, achieving peace, obviously.
I really don't understand why we, as a supposedly intelligent species, can't figure out a way to live with one another.
