I have, and it doesn't damage the hair. Just make sure you use a conditioner when you shampoo.

I have n used to perm every 2 months! I don't think perms will damage the hair, they'r no worse than other hair treatments. Stopped perming 20 yrs ago but do a lot of coloring - every 5 wks. to cover the gray. From my experience, I believe the quality/texture of the hair u r born with REMAINS unchanged s u keep cutting over time. Mine is very coarse/wire-like n no matter what treatment I went thru, it was good for only a week or two. The salons r usually only out to make yr $$ ...... so don't believe them too much. A dermatologist can give u more accurate info about skin/nails/hair, if u need

You have to have the right type of hair to get perms. What is on your hair already? straighteners? color? henna? highlights? Is your hair thin? fine? overprocessed? If you have normal virgin hair, you can easily get a nice perm. Choose a larger size perm rod so you can get some nice natural looking curls. Keep your ends trimmed and your hair conditioned and protected against thermal styling and it will not be too damaged.

yes, perms makes your hair falls out and if do like using perms or hair coloring because it an easy fix up, then i suggest you go to a beauty supply store and get something on hair breakage and hair strengthening that way you won't have to worry about damages, it's good to have a back up such as conditioners and moisturizers.

I love getting a perm, its so easy to fix. Just wash, pick-out and put some jell in and your on your way. Just don't ever use a brush on it, I did that once when I was little, and I ended up looking like a white whoopi golberg.
