I believe that the main drugs we're concerned about mixing with alcohol are tricyclic antidepressants (TCA's) and monoamineoxidase inhibitors (MAOI's). These drugs used to be prescribed for depression and other psychological problems, but aren't used much anymore. Today's antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs are mostly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI's).

Almost any medicine taken with beer or any alcoholic beverage can be fatal. It says so on the label of the drug. Don't mix medicine with alcohol!

Because any amount of acohol (whether it be a relatively small amount in beer or a relatively large amount in, say, vodka) multiplies the affects of the medicine, so it would be like taking 20 Tylenol when all you need is two.

Beer in limits or even over does does not kill anyone fast.
If you add any kind of POISON with it, it will be FATAL.

Many medications will say on the bottle to not drink alcohol with them. If you are in doubt look on webmd for your medicine. Please be careful.

Please do not take any prescription drug with alcohol. And try to avoid over the counter meds till you have stopped drinking for the night.
If you are thinking about killing yourself please don't. Please talk to someone. Try a help line or close relative or friend.
