Mine is yellow. Why are most people perfer blue?

Ok what I meant is that blue and pink dominate over other colors chosen as "favourite". Purple is close too. My question is : why?

The "Old Wives Tales" website explains that the color blue was historically chosen to protect a male child from the "evil eye".
They didn't bother to protect the girl children. Nice eh??

There is no such thing as men like blue and women like pink. You are confused. That blue and pink thing is something that new moms do, if the baby is a girl they dress her in pink and boy in blue. or paint their rooms or pick out the bedding.. It has nothing to do with favorite colors. And I'm a girl and my fave color is BLUE.

Influence. Things pink are associated with girls, and things blue are usually associated with boys. If things pink were associated with boys, and blue girls, it would probably be different. Plus blue is a dark color. Pink is sutle. Most men are seen as masculine, and women are though of as kind, gentle etc. (*pssshhht* like that's true)

i use to prefer yellow , but i noticed that many people avoid it , and in colors theory it says that its a very bright color and not very popular , it represent jealousy and stimulate thinking , ofcourse it has good side and bad ones.
my favorite now is blue i like blue since long time , yellow was in my childhood only .

I'm a girl and my favorite is blue I actually don't like pink as much.

As it says in the book Freaks, Geeks, and Asperger's Syndrome, young girls are given dolls and are dressed in pink, while young boys are dressed in blue and are given action figures. But to me, it dosen't really matter.

Only because society TELLS them that's the color they're SUPPOSED to like according to whether they're a boy or a girl.

Most men wear Black or Brown, usually off set with Blue.
Women usually dress in RED, sexy.
