Fascinating question.

Caffeine has been shown to actually make people RESISTANT to insulin, which would RAISE blood sugar levels.

I'm am avid drinker of Diet Coke as well, but I know a few people who tell me that the aspartame (the NutraSweet) can cause over 92 different health problems, one of which is
"Blood Sugar Control Problems (Hypoglycemia or Hyperglycemia)"

They recommend switching to the Diet Coke that just came out that has Splenda instead of NutraSweet. I've seen it at my grocery store, but sometimes it's hard to find. Try being NutraSweet/Aspartame free for 60 days to see if makes a difference.

Meanwhile, see a doctor. Low blood sugar is serious!

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Find out first if you suffer from hypoglycemia. Go to a doctor. If you do, you could suffer from fainting spells, dizziness, tiredness, to name a few. I know caffeine can be addicting, but constant soda drinks can really do damage to your stomach, and are not very nutritious. Gatorade helps with low blood sugar, but can be fattening when that's all you drink. My doctor told me the best thing to drink is water, supplement your diet with fruits ,veggies, chicken , turkey, etc.

Switch to Caffeine-Free Diet Coke and I'll bet you won't have a problem. Or, use the Diet Coke w/ Splenda, rather than Nutrasweet.

it does have a lot of caffeine in it, which can lower your blood sugar...have you had problems with your blood sugar before? are you drinking the diet coke instead of eating meals?

It's more likely that filling up on the diet soda caused you to not eat...which ABSOLUTELY causes low blood sugar!

Soft drinks are no good for you. Stick with a lot of water and a little bit of pure fruit juice.

Soda is so bad for you, try switching to flavored water and eventually regular water if you can. Even diet soda is pretty bad for you.
