I have two puppies that my wife and I acquired. Our dog recently passed away, so we adopted one puppy, a hound and another puppy who we got from a friend which is a German Sheppard mix. Both are about 5 months old and very loving. Unfortunately, our lifestyles have become very active with a newborn and an eight year old. We are not able to give the puppies the attention they need and would like to find a good home for them, free. They both have thier shots up to date. The hound is fixed, they are both female and very loving. If anyone knows where i could advertise them in the Richmond, VA area (or anywhere in VA for that matter), I would greatly appreciate it. The SPCA is full and not accepting puppies at this time and the pound will more than likely put them down if they don't find a home within ten days, so neither one of those is an option at this point.

In either the local newspaper, or since you live in Virginia..The Valley Trader, that's a Virginia pretty much bulletin board and sooo many people read it! and there is also a paper called the Bulletin Board...look these things up you can post a free ad on line and it will come out in the next edition! Good luck with the puppies

It's a shame you have to give them away - I'm sorry about that.
You can always put up basic flyers around your town with these specifics and details of the kind of person you want to adopt them. You can leave your phone number to interview the interested personally, so you know for sure the dogs will go to a good home. You can put a small ad in the newspaper; quite a few people looking for pets will search this section.
Best of luck to you and the pups!

Norfolk SPCA doesn't put animals to sleep. You may want to take them there. VA Bch does, but if they are still puppies, they may have a good shot at being adopted.

Please, please read the "Tragedy of Free To a Good Home" before you do this! Many "free" dogs end up in labs or are used by dog fighters as training bait. I've personally seen this happen numerous times!

Where did you adopt the dogs from? Most shelters have a clause in your adoption papers that state that you HAVE to give the dog back to them if you can no longer keep them for whatever reason. Please look into that as well.

Put an ad in your local paper. Most papers will let you put it in for free if you are giving it away.
