I am 15 years old, male, and I am 5"4 and weigh anywhere from 102-108 pounds, do I have a fast metabolism? I just ate a lot of candy, would it burn off by me not doing anything or would I have to work out really hard?

answers to both of these questions will get the 10 pts, thanks.

Your height and weight are fine and fairly average, but not a determinant for your metabolism. If you eat lots of fattening foods and don't gain weight I'd have to say you have a fast metabolism. But as a teenager you naturally have a faster metabolism than an adult, you are still growing, and presumably at a good clip at your age.

As for working off the candy: The sugar is stored not just as calories, but as energy. You will burn it off tomorrow if you work out or eat less. The body needs a certain amount of energy just to keep going and growing. Extra calories are stored for times when you need them, such as when you miss lunch and are running around school trying to keep your schedual.

As long as eating too much candy doesn't happen everyday, don't sweat it.

your bmi is around 18, on the low side, normal would be in between 20-25. eating candy is not a good idea in terms of healthy diet. Once a while candy may not be harmful, just keep up with healthy diet, try mypyramid.gov for ideas on healthy diet, feel free to email me with questions

your body will burn 777 calories just sitting on your butt.
food and sweets can be hundreds if not thousands of calories more. your calorie burn must be more than intake to lose weight.
when intake is more you will gain and become fat.
doesnt matter your age, it all hinges on your activity/burn rate.
