Without the sun, we would not exist. I think Jesus was a good man, but should we worship him more than the sun?

Well, can the sun save your everlasting soul?

Ya, that's why we worship Jesus, you know, the guy who MADE the sun.

Sun worship has been done since the beginning of time and most of our Christian customs came from ancient sun worship.
It represented life. Plant something in the shade.
During the summer when the sun was its hottest things grew and they had something to eat. Then winter time came and the trees lost their leaves and it appeared they had died. the fruit was gone. The people were hungry. What do we have to do to appease the sun god. They cut down the only living tree the evergreen and decorated it with balls for fertility. The sun a candle on the top. They had a wild fertility dance and drank themselves stupid and had an orgy. Gave each other gifts of food. then they waited and a few months later here came the sun. See there it worked. when they were converted to Christianity they brought this custom with them. If they didn't do it the sun wouldn't come back. so it became Jesus birthday.
that was really the only thing they had to change.
Excepting he wasn't born then. anyway it stuck so technically we still do worship the sun.

I've actually heard some people claim that Heaven is found in the sun......don't think that it's true but still.

H20 is what makes you breathe...should you worship it?

I think the key here is that the Sun did not create the Universe. Granted the universe would not sustain without the sun's presence but at the same time....have you ever stopped to think that perhaps something would have had to have created the sun?

You aren't to worship Jesus, he is God's son a created being, he was an angel in heaven before being sent to earth and is an angel in heaven again. Jehovah God is the creator the One to be worshiped. Why would you worship creation instead of it's Creator. Sun worship, old news, never did any good for those that did it. Read Romans 1:24,25.

Yes, The Earth has just one Sun but there are Suns larger than we have on Earth.
There are other galaxies beyond ours.

The sun is basically just a burning nuclear reactor. Jesus is the Almighty. Hmmmm, no sun worship doesn't make more sense.

The sun and everything therein is from God. We are not suppose to worship the sun or anything other then God. Only God is whom we worship. We give Thanks Unto the Lord for the sun. Be Thankful for the sun, but only thru God. God says, " Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me. " Do not worship the sun, but give Thanks to God for it.
