I thought about writing you the instructions here, but I see you got some very good answers above. I know that when I was a beginner and I didn't want to lose my pants off, I used a poker odds calculator. I still use it, even though I'm now officially in the poker scene.. you can download it from this link for free: http://www.pokerbility.com/Versioning/Download.asp?affiliate=2060

It will help you understand the game better, and play like a pro :] just a little help to give you some security. . Have fun!

Too big a question to answer here, but the basics:

- Learn the poker hands.
- Learn Hold'em basics.
- Read some good books.
- Practice online for play money.
- Check for local pub leagues where you can practice for a low fee.
- Eventually play for real money online or in a casino.
- Practice and study. You'll never know everything about the game.

The worst mistake you can make is thinking hold'em is just like any other type of poker you have played. The best thing you can do is learn probabilities in common situations and start out learning by playing only the high probability starting hands.

First, you need to know how to play poker. What beats what. Then, everyone gets two cards, face down, and everyone uses the cards flipped up on the table to make the best 5 card hand. Good luck.

Hi, the best place to learn is (you must be 18 years old) PokerStars. Most of the other free online sites all have spyware attached to them but not at PokerStars. If you are not old enough to play leagally there, you can still visit PokerStars website and read all the rules and garner some tips ant strats. But, the good thing is, if you start playing now, you can be very good by the time your all grown up. Good-Luck, pcr
