Jesus was crucified for stating he was GOD.
He told the woman at the well that before Abraham was I AM. Referring to himself. He said that from hence forth he would be seated at the right hand of GOD the father. 2 Times it is stated from heaven that "Here is my Beloved Son". Jesus stood on the mountain top with Moses and Elijah talking about his death. Man it goes on and on and on. There is only two possibilities. 1 Jesus was a mad man 2. Jesus is GOD in the flesh. If you can read the New testiment with a shred of understanding you will see no other choice.

Thats my point of view.

I have heard statements like this question before from JW's.. It is sad that groups can get together and decide that black really means white. The moon is just the sun at night.

Just plain scary.
Read the Bible please. I would rest better knowing that you at least read it.

GOD bless you.

Even if you find a strong statement on Jesus' deity in the Bible you wouldn't believe. So the problem doesn't lie on the presence or absence of statements. The truth is the later generations of Christians came to that conclusion. I'm ok with that because it shows that the Christian faith is a collective enterprise in constant review and debate. This is something healthy. Islam would benefit tremendously from incorporating debate, questioning, criticism into its body.

What version of the Bible are you reading? before you start finding out and comparing scriptures in the Bible, first: GET THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE BIBLE. There are too many revisions of the Bible and it's ridiculous how they have taken books out and have added others, they had also CHANGED the wording and the CONTEXT to mean something completely different to what it originally was meant to be said. Only the original version of the Bible will have the most accurate texts. I think the King version is very original in the English language but I am not sure because I read the Bible in other language.

Jesus said that he is the "Alpha and Omega"(Rev 1:8)There is no other Alpha and Omega but God.Jesus never stopped people from worshipping him and certainly did not stop Thomas from calling him what?"My Lord and My God"(John 20:28)Also read 1 Timothy 3:16.And remember what Jesus said"If you believe not that I AM HE,you will die in your sins"(John 8:24)God Bless you.

In the first chapter of the bible when God created everything it says we created it. In the new testament it refers back to the rock that the Jews drank from in the desert. It refers to Christ as being that rock that provided for them. In the new testament Christ also say I and the Father (referring to God the father) are one. Christ is also referred to as God's only begotten son because of the virgin birth God impregnated Mary miraculously

It is written, John 1:1 In the beginning (before the earth existed) was the Word,(Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; ( Jesus) and without him (Jesus) was not anything made. (Jesus made the Earth and everything in or on it) John 1:10 He (Jesus) was in the world and the world was made by him, (Jesus) and the world knew him not.

Hello,

Well...If you accept the New Testement there are several verse where Jesus does claim to be God.

# Jesus said: "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)

# "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9)

# "He who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me." (John 12:45)

# [Jesus speaking to His disciples] "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you." ... "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him." (John 14:16-17, 23)

There are more verse where he claims divinity...

However, that of course is meaningless if you do not accept the NT.

However the Messinica prophecies do (I think) prove Jesus was the Messiah, foretold in the Old Testament.

I would suggest researching it for yourself,

Shalom to you. I can't answer such confusing questions, other than tell you that you are a little mixed up about some of the questions. Christians believe by Faith, so that is the best answer I can give you.

Ummm...

"I and the Father are One." John 10:30

"I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be ONE even as We are." JOHN 17:11

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word; 21 that they all may be ONE , as You, Father, are in me, and I in You; that they also may be ONE in us, that the world may believe that You sent me. 22 And the glory which You gave me I have given them, that they may be ONE just as we are ONE: 23 I in them, and You in me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent me, and have loved them as You have loved me." JOHN 17:20

"When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while he prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in you I am well pleased." 4:1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness," LUKE 3:21

"I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me." JOHN 5:30

"For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me." JOHN 6:38

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. JOHN 15:10
