Just how good do you have to be. Everyone sins one way or another, I don't care who you are.

That is very true. Simple fact You either are a Christian or just giving it lip service. Many claim it but only give the faith lip service at best. There are many reason for this, some do it for show, to make themselves look good in the eyes of others. A lot of people do this. They just like the warm fuzzy of showing up and putting on a show in the sight of others. I worked for a man just like this, but his actions prove that he was double minded and didn't live the faith he claimed. Many are mislead and don't take the time to learn for themselves, They base their actions on what others are telling them. But the simple fact is no matter what the reason God either wants you to be hot or cold, either for him or against but choose. Believe or not then live by it.

I have more respect of an Atheist because they will stand by their beliefs when many Christians won't. When it comes down to it lukewarm Christians are not Christian at all, they are only fooling themselves because their actions speak very loud.

See when I claim my faith then I had to take it serious enough to learn what Jesus taught, how He lived, and model my live in that manner. In a nutshell what did he teach Love God with all your heart, all your soul and all you might. Next Love your neighbor as yourself. Love your enemies. Notice the key word here. By our actions we will either affirm the faith or we will condemn it. All too often we do condemn it because we forget to love even our enemies. Christians even condemn each other.

Because I am a long haired biker, I have been unwelcome in churches by Christians. I have even been told that I don't look like a Christian. I didn't even know that we had to look a certain way. But I am not a cookie cutter Christian, in fact when they got through cutting out all those lukewarm Christians I was part of that doe that was left over. I like it that way to. I believe that if I live by faith as best I can then I won't have to say a word, see I believe that my actions will either affirm my faith or condemn it. Being lukewarm only condemns not only the faith but nullifies the Cross.

Lukewarm is not only offensive to God but to the Unbeliever as well. Are lukewarm Christians believable? Their actions are speaking and do see what they are saying?

Only God knows who will get to Heaven and who won't . That is why we are taught not to judge. God Loves all of us. Just because someone uses the term lukewarm, doesnt' mean a darned thing. How do you know what the lukewarm holds in his/her heart ??? Possibly the so called Lukewarm, does more than we know. We can't judge ??

You are right and in that statement revealed the crux of Christianity. We are all sinners, no matter how good we try to be, our human nature at some point causes us to sin - or merely be less than perfect. And the answer is....that is why God gave us His one and only Son, to die for our sins. So that when we get to heaven, and we are being judged (shown our lifetime of sins) Jesus steps in and says, "Father, this one is mine."

Scripture tells us it takes only a grain of faith to be saved. So according to the Bible, all who believe in Him shall be saved. I believe it with my whole heart, but because I love God and am grateful--that is why I try to live a God-pleasing life, not because it saves me. I am already saved by His Grace through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Thank you God, because we could not do it by our works, that is for sure.

See, hearing things from this church or that, doesn't mean a thing. Go straight to the source, the Bible. What Scripture tells us is the truth. What Johnny or Gladys heard, doesn't mean a thing. Go to the source.

Read Acts 2. Focus on verse38.
If you are Baptized in Jesus name and repent and are filled with the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in tongues you will WANT to live a righteous and overcoming life and will be accepted into heaven by Jesus.
You have a very valid question.
look below at the link to the website my church put up to answer questions JUST like this.
Go to your nearest Apostolic / Pentacostal church. They'll help you. God Bless You.

I heard once when I was in high school that there are four "levels" of people (In Christian terms).

4. The ones who have no beliefs at all......according to many, they're dammed to hell.

3. The ones who say they believe in something but their lives don't reflect what they say they believe.......again, according to many, they're also dammed to hell.

2. The people who are Christians but don't give their whole hearts to God or to others......according to this speaker, They are going to hell.

1. The Christians who without a doubt live their lives for their religion, who love others unconditionally and have given their lives to God. According to this speaker, they will go to Heaven.

I'm in no way saying that I believe what this person said, I'm simply stating what I've heard.

The speaker had four chairs lined up on a stage and threw them around when he "dammed people to hell". It scared the **** out of me...no joke.

Who are these that make God vomit? Who are these that He must spue out of His mouth with disgust? Not the infidel! Not the atheist! Not the self-confessed, unregenerate sinner! He does not mean those who are out for the devil, those who are unconverted. They have never been in intimate touch with Christ; how can He spue them out? They have never had the sweet communion that a child of God may have, nor the power of the Holy Spirit, nor soul-winning influence; how then can Christ spue them out?it is not because they are cold that they nauseate the Saviour. It is because they are neither cold nor hot, but lukewarm. The people in churches, not those on the outside, nauseate God. To lukewarm Christians God says, "I will spue thee out of my mouth."does not mean, of course, that a saved person thereby becomes lost nor that Christ forsakes the soul of any of His redeemed ones. One who has believed in Christ already has everlasting life and shall never come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life (John 5:24). One who trusts in Christ shall "not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). No one, now nor hereafter, self nor others, angels nor demons, can separate a Christian from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:35-39). What Christ has purchased is His.Christ desired that all His own be on fire for God, filled with the Spirit, endued with a holy fervor for God. But if you are not , then Jesus prefers that you be cold. "

you are right, everyone sins, Christians are no exceptions. but here is the difference, Christians are forgiven.
this is why Jesus had to die for our sins, no one can keep from sinning on a daily basis. the Bible says that our righteousness is but filthy rags.. that means no one is good enough to get into heaven... no one! and God knew this and sent his son to be the only worthy sacrifice for mankind. so now people who believe in Christ can ask to be forgiven and the Bible tells us that God will dump our sins into the sea of forgetfulness, to be remembered no more!

"Lukewarm" has nothing to do with good or bad.

It refers to those Christians who claim the Christ, yet bear no fruit. They are still enthralled with themselves, instead of being about God's work.

These would be the ones who warm the pews on Sundays, then warm their couches the rest of the week.

Hey RO35, saw your question and I had to answer this. Your right, you have to be a pure saint in order to get into Heaven. Growing up I was told that is why we have purgatory, and that there are many levels to it, I guess, if that's how you want to say it, but anyway we are born of sinners as our parents etc. That is why in the Christian faith you go to church to repent as in hopes God will forgive you.

My daddy always said " if you are going to do something , do it right. Don't make a half-assed attempt." Either you are totally doing your best to live a Godly life, or you are not. There is not a whole lot of middle ground.
