Hebrews 11:12 says that "Faith is believing in what you hope for and trusting what you do not see".

My personal definition of faith is, "A steady, unweavering way of thinking despite lack of evidence to prove your theory; perhaps a gut instinct."

Believing in something without the need for proof. Anyone can believe in something once it is proven to them. That takes no strength of character. Believing in God in the absence of proof takes courage, not ignorance, as an atheist would like you to believe.

(Blind Guides leading the Blind) Faith is trusting in something or someone, like those who got scolded for putting trust(faith) in Mosaic Law Law, which notably accused them all: Jn 5:45.

Seeing Faith, also called "Now Faith" of Then/Now Faiths allegorically compared in Heb 11, is based on "evidence".

Romans 1 speaks of chanGing: 'from faith to faith".
2Cor 3 speaks of being chanGed: "from glory to glory".
(Solomon says get it: "understanding' = "grace" glory)
Heb 12 speaks of "run": from (Sinai)mtn to (Sion)mtn.
Perhaps in each case it's chanGe from Law to Grace,
perhaps as if from a God on "high" to the higher God.

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Rom 14:23
The law is not of faith: Gal 3:12
Without faith, you can't please God.
God was never pleased with sacrifice.
And faith without works is dead (end).

Do God's will, then receive the promise
Don't is to die & receive not the promise
(what happened to "all" in Hebrews 11)

God's will: I will have mercy & not sacrifice.
Pst - not part is not then, not now, not ever.

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
