My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Katrina, fruit loops are ok once in a while but they should not be your regular breakfast.
You should not skip lunch, have a fruit or salad, eat, you didn't say how tall you are, this makes a big difference in the growth chart. If you participate in activities and walk alot you also have to drink loads of water, 8 glasses of 8 ounces are recommended daily, and no pop doesn't count. You are not eating sensibly, where is your mother, she should know that a diet of presweetened cereal can only cause you major problems down the road.
Go to the Y or online and check out what is a normal diet for someone who is still making bones and teeth and muscles, you are still growing. Educate yourself, that is the best way to control your diet, you are too young to go on any diet except what is recommended which is 3 good nutritional meals per day plus a snack between, like fruit or vegetable sticks, once your body gets accustomed to this nutrition you will start craving it. Trust me train your body to like the healthy foods, stay away from junk food, have those as a treat once a month or something. Good luck.

You don't say how tall you are but usualy 136 is to much weight for a 12 year old. Forget the fruit loops which are loaded with sugar and use toasted oats or whole grain flakes neither of these have sugar and are very good for you. Do not skip lunch. Take a sandwich and a piece of fruit to school ,and for your snack in the afternoon eat crackers and cheese, peanuts or fruit. For your evening meal have veggies and a small serving of meat or beans or peas instead of meat and dont forget skim milk or soy milk. Do not eat any fried foods and don't add butter. The walking is good for you and any other activity will help. You sound like a very sensible girl and I am sure you will get in good shape. You need your fruit , veggies and protein every day and your milk. Eat healthy and exercise and you will do fine.

It all depends on how tall you are. Go to www.webmd.com and at the bottom of the home page you will see something about BMI (body mass index). Enter your height and weight and it will tell you if your BMI is healthy or not and what your weight should be. Also, it's not healthy to skip meals, even if you are dieting. Eat at least some fruit or something. And Fruit Loops are not good. They're almost total sugar. Cereal is great but find a healthy, whole wheat/grain cereal. Hope this helps!
P.S. Answer above is totally wrong. Running/jogging is BAD on your joints. Fast walking is way better. You can also usually walk longer than you can run, so you get more out of it. It's also not healthy to exercise EVERYDAY. You will get burned out and possibly not stick to it. 45-60 minutes three to four times a week is sufficient.

your only 12. things will work out fine as long as you eat healthy and exercise regularly.
fruit loops is not the best cereal. and don't skip meals. you should eat a lot of little meals throughout the day instead of big heavy meals two or three times a day.
don't skimp on proteins and carbs just to follow the latest diet fad.
eat healthily of all food categories and you'll be fine. you don't want to little of something but you don't want to much either. choose wisely and don't forget to exercise.
you really should talk to your doctor about this before you jump into some diet that may not be healthy. your doctor can help with the right choices for you.
good luck

joging would help, but the trick is NEVER STOP FOR 1 DAY, if u do that u think the next day maybe not, actually dont even start lowereing the load or else it will slowly screech too a halt. try eating a more healthy cereal. O and also eat lunch, but make it as healthy as u possibly can, i would know, i used to be EXTREMELY FAT, almost obese, but i lost it:).
