assuming you want to display the photo, have it professionally framed. request that only archival materials be used. any frame shop can do this. you can do it yourself to. pre-made kits can be found at many art stores. then just buy some musem board for a backing, some plexi for the front and put it all together.

Be careful, some of the things you may do to it may take the value away. When we were little, a kid pasted all his baseball cards - and he had some good ones in a book, and that ruined the backs of them. Framing is a good idea or simply using page protectors.

Before you go framing it, scan it at a high resolution (at least 300dpi), and save that scan in either TIFF format (this is a lossless photographic format) or as a high quality JPEG.
Then, frame it behind glass. This stops it fading!
Have a look at the link for more on resolution.

DO NOT NOT NOT LAMINATE IT!!! You dont want to stick something to the picture. That would totally ruin it.
What you want to do, is have it professionally framed and keep it out of sunlight. It should last forever that way.
Im curious, who is the photograph of??

When in doubt, LAMENATE!!!
No, just kidding. That will make it look cheesy. Have it in a nice, clean folder, or put it in a picture frame. That will make it stay straight, and it will look nice too.
