What are you talking about? What saints have you heard from lately? The pope is not a saint and neither is Manuel II Palaiologos, the man quoted by Pope Benedict. Keeping in mind Manuel's historical times, his comments are a reflection of the loss of christian lands and control to the upcoming muslim power in the area. The fanatical elements in the muslim religion are no better or worse that any fanatical sect in any religion.
Christianity has not always been a religion of peace. There are elements in it now that are not peacful. Same with Jews.
Just callaing a spade a spade. Learn your history.

I think that there are unscrupulous leaders stirring up mobs for selfish gain over there in the middle east. If we could only get through to them how they are being used maybe there would be some hope they could become democratic.

i guess it goes to show that some people have too much time on their hands, look at the christian zealots preaching in the streets and sticking their noses in where they arent wanted, its all the same a power game and ignorant people with not enough useful things to do to keep them busy, like a job.
