just an interesting though i have had. when hezbollah or hamas, or what ever terrorest orginization does an attack on israel, the IDF can target their leadership in very little time. pretty much as soon as they get the go ahead, they will be engaged. that means at any particular time, they already know where these people are. they just choose not to attack them until they act up...they could do alot more damage to these orginizations but they dont...
there is nothing wrong with fighting for your freedom. im pretty sure the israelis are hold you as slaves though...you could be considered lucky compare to some people in the world. there isnt a genocide agains the palistinians, the jews arent trying to exterminate you. the only time they acctualy come out with an intent to kill is after isrealis have been attacked. so if you stop attacking them, they wont attack you. the two sides wont be so angry and you may be able to talk and settle things better.
and if you acctually do have to do an armed battle (which you dont) DO NOT attack civilians. when you target civilians you will not get the support of the world community.

There never was an independant country called Palestine ever in the history of the world. There was a territory called Palestine, but that was ruled by the Ottoman Empire and the British Empire in that order.
So, you claim Israel occupies a land yet that land never was ruled by its own Arab population.
So, perhaps you wish to claim that that is still called "occupation". Thus, will you then admit that what Jordan did from 1948-1967 of the West Bank was an "occupation"? I don't think so, as I have yet to hear a pro-Palestinian advocate admit to as such. In addition, it is curious that Fatah and the PLO in general was founded to get rid of Israel back when Jordan occupied the West Bank yet no effort was directed at Jordan. In other words, if Israel was an "occupier" so was Jordan, and thus should have been the target of groups like the PLO. Yet, strangely it wasn't.
Could it be that they didn't actually care that a foreign entity such as Jordan occupied it as long as it was Arab? It seems they only have a problem with the Jews.
Thus, I will disagree with you. It is not about freedom but about anti semetism. It is this anti semetism that leads people to blows themselves up on buses killing innocent people. And then they justify such crimes but echoing the jacka** statements that you espouse saying that they are just fighting occupation.
Another interesting sidenote: You make a comparison to Hizbollah and claim its because they want "their land" back. But Israel voluntarily removed itself from Lebanon in 2000. So why was hizbollah still in business, stockpiling over 12,000 rockets, including many from Iran, and busy kidnapping Israeli soldiers who were not even in their territory?
Simple. Its not about occupation. Its about the fact that they want to destroy Israel, which, BTW, they make CLEAR in any statement they MAKE.

To the first answerer:
Fathead.
Good name.
I think a good idea would be to use our empathical side for once. Imagine if Canada took over several northern states of the US because it claimed that these states were "Holy Canadian Lands". Then China pledged all its nukes and armies in the defence of this "Holy Canadian Land" so that the US would never dare to try and retake such lands.
Imagine if then a Chinese man wrote "The land isn't yours anymore. Get used to it."
I'd kick him in at the first chance.
Wouldn't you?
Actually I kinda find it sickening how little people actually understand about the situation in the middle east. Firstly, Hezbollah's unofficial paramilitary organisaion attacked Israel. They then did NOT hide in civillian provinces, Israel bombed the Hezbollah organisation itself (not the paramilitaries). Thats where all the civillian casualties came from.
Furthermore, you'd actually find from reading anything that most of the urban fighting was conduced by people who were pissed off at the Israeli's for destroying their homes. If I recall correctly the BBC did a couple of interviews with old men with AK-47's (sure as hell not a hezbollah fighter) saying that he'd defend his home from any Israeli attacker who tried to come near his home.
The paramilitary hezbollah stayed mostly in the hills when fighting the Israelis. They also hid beside roads and waged a guerilla war in that way.
And the situation itself is so much more complicated than just "Israel have killed so many civillians" or "Hezbollah are an evil terrorist organisation." Take my above example, EVERYONE who had land taken off of them by America to make space for Israel SHOULD and have EVERY RIGHT to be pissed off at that happening. But it was long ago that this situation was accepted by many in the reigion. The real fight has moved to being about several peices of land which have been taken over and held by Israel SINCE they became a nation.
All of the fighting is pointless. The land taken was mostly useless anyway; all of it was taken in illegitemate aggression. This whole situation is based of the stupidity and stubborness of governments; they simply don't want to give in. Lebanon could have done more to stop the rocket attacks. Israel could give back the stupid unpopulated land that they took. The world could have applied more political pressure to resolve the situation. The leaders could all be just a little less bigheaded.
Dont get me started on the "idealogical war". Who cares in what other people beleive in. Too many is the answer. What someone else beleives in a religion should never be the starting point of violence.
Doubtful such a peaceful resolution would happen though.
All the politicians are too engrossed in this penis-size comparison/fight to see the big picture of what their citizens really want and ensure lasting peace.
I'm British-Chinese by the way, so there (should) be no cultural bias to what I think.

Then you do not know the truth about your people.
The Palestinians were nomads that your Arab brothers refused to allow you to settle in their countries.
When the British decided to return the land to the Israelies in 1914 the Arab world decided that the Palestians should settle in Israel to try to keep the Jewish people from reclaiming their land.
In over 4500 years of recorded history, this coming for the records of Egypt, there has NEVER be a country called Palestine. Yes there has been an area called that but that is it.

Your only chance is that all Arabs unite and fight a long protracted war, draining Israel little by little. They have too many weapons of mass destruction for you to fight face to face. It's not that they have more courage, it's easy to think that you're courageous when you know that you have superior weaponery, I find those who hide behind planes flying so high nobody can shoot them down, more coward than those who have to face the bombs being dropped on them. There are many ignorant people on this planet, they will ignore reason and tell you to forget your land, it's no longer yours. They say so, not because they are right, simply because they know there is nothing you can do about it. It's really too bad for you, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes right now. Your people have suffered greatly this century. But nobody can deny you the right to your land. Fight for what you believe in. Remember, America lost in Vietnam. Nobody believed it could happen, but it did.

I take it your ancestors were fedahyn. People, peasants, moved from one poor area of Arabia to another to work farms for the absentee landlords who lived in Riyadh,Damascus,Beirut, Cairo etc. (the beautiful city that was before the PLO and Hezbollah animals destroyed it) Your ancestors did not own or have a ancestral claim on the land. If you subtracted what was sold to Israel if returned to the real owners pre 1947 it would go to rich people in the above cities. Not to the serfs that scratched out a subsistence on another man's land and paid most of what they earned to that man for the privilege. If you want to "fight for Freedom" I hope you train well, kill no one and die early, painfully. May the Three curse you, the Wild Hunt harry you and Ran's chill, wet, darkness take you. So Be It.

Don't fight Israel - fight Hezbollah - they are the miscreants who are the major cause of the problem. You might find it hard to believe - but invariably Israel fights to protect itself and its people! Having to wage war or strike first to protect itself. Go and check history of the times since inception of the Jewish Land following the end of WWII. Then you'll get a different picture! Good people the Jews, I'm not a Jew, I'm not of any religion. But I do study it. Put to defend and having to fight, I'd defend Israel every time!

There is no escaping peace. Eventually you and the Israelis will have to learn how to live together in peace. The alternative is one side eradicates the other and that is not an option that anybody wants and might lead to the total destruction of the human race. There must be some reasonable, moderate people on both side. Unfortunately we are going globally through a period of irrational extremism and fanatics are riding high. But humanity been through worse period and the good in us all eventually rise.

It is if you are Hezbollah. Hezbollah don't even know what they are fighting for. They are terrorist plane and simple and should be exterminated. If they would quit trying to blow innocent people up and stay in their own country then the Israelis will leave them alone. Is that so hard to understand. They are even to afraid fight face to face.
