It's all about how you feel...
So if your stepmom is more of a mother than anyone else than why would it be bad to like her more?
Just because someone gave birth to you doesn't mean they're perfect and demand more respect regardless of their actions.
For instance, my best friend's grandma raised her because her mom was kind of preoccupied with other things so she considers her grandma to be her mom in a way. So it's all about you're treated and how you feel and how they feel about you.

you will always like some people better than others, not much you can do about it...though disliking someone to the point of hating them and or going on to hurt them is a different story.
so yeah, its fine and ok to do so.
though there does become the question of why? if you like you step mom better because she lets you run around, do what you want whenever you want to etc then while yes its fine to like someone better than another person, one could argue that the other is more concerned about you and your well being and development and that "parenting" often involves not always being well liked. course it could be reversed as i have no idea why you like or dislike one better than the other, but i think you know what i mean.

You can't help who you feel most comfortable with. It's wonderful that you love your step mom that much. Your birth mom should be thankful her child is in good hands. With your added information it's no wonder. I'm happy you had a second chance for a second mother. Wish I had that chance sometimes.

Just because someone gave birth to you doesn't make them a parent. It's who loves you and cares for you that makes them a parent.
My Daddy wasn't biologically my Dad but he was more a Dad to me then any man on the face of this ever could be. I have his last name and am proud to call him my Dad.

As long as you love your real mom. Then there are situations when your parent is a disgusting crack whore, then how can you love that?

Depends...are you talking about a physical type of like? If so - please send video. Otherwise, I would keep in mind that your stepmom probably wants to win you over to make things a little easier where you real mom might be tougher or something because she truly does love you.

It's very okay to feel that way. If your mother is not a very good parent then yes it's okay to like someone who takes care of you and loves you better.

absolutely ....she's a soul that is in your life and holds as much importance as your birth mom......its the information we receive from these people that is of importance.....that should be based from a presence of love in their words and actions

We don't really know the story, you need to tell us why you don't want to like your mom. Did she abuse you, or something like that?
