i've had to do that before. just walk up to him as if you guys have been friends forever and he just might say yes. he might think its a bit weird since you've never spoken to him before but is he comes, you might become really good friends with him. just be natural about as if its completely normal. he may act like its normal too. good luck!! i hope you have a blast at the party!
