Make yourself busy with work or study.
Don't rebound into another girl. It'll just be more trouble.
Time heals all wounds.
I completely understand where you are coming from, though. My favourite girl died in a car accident many years back. I still think of her from time to time, but it doesn't hurt now. Nobody can compare ... but a few can come close :)

Hi Daniel, Im so sorry to hear that your still hurting. It can be devistating when something like this happens, I know, I've been there (and in part still am) Nobody will beable to tell you for sure because what your feeling is a very deep and personal emotion but like what happened to me, they touched apart of you that seems to be eternally alive. It could be that unanswered question of "what if". What if you'd gotton together, what if she hadn't moved away, what if I never meet somone that will help heal this pain and loss I feel inside.......I don't really have the answers for you Daniel, but I do empathize with you as I do know how your feeling. Don't close yourself off to the prospects of having a girlfriend, one thing I do know is that you can't stop living and meeting people, you have to move forward for any sort of real chance of survivng this emotion. Good Luck :)

i know exactly how you feel. a guy that i was really close to and liked moved away about 4 years ago. and its gonna be a ***** to get over. the way i got over him was to actually tell him i had feelings for him. i felt retarded about telling him even though it was more then two years after he had moved and i felt even more stupid to find out that he didnt like me but it was a load off me shoulders. i eventually came to terms with myself and moved on. i still talk to him and its great even though we'll never see eachother again. just tell her and then after you give it some time try to talk to her more even if its just to say hello. dont lose that friendship that you had.

Daniel its time to move on.....there are other nice girls out there for sure, the best way to bury the past is to move on in the present, if your depressed, get some counseling, I suspect this is what is holding you back from a new relationship

You should go out there and meet new people. Time will pass and you'll hopefully get over it.
